Today, you will get ready to visit the holy temple of Mata Vaishno Devi (on your own). This sacred temple of the Hindus is situated on a hilltop, at about 5,200 feet. One must hire a pony or travel by foot in order to reach the temple. After worshipping the goddess, you will return to Katra the same day and stay overnight here.

Proceed for full day excursion for Sonamarg, also called "Meadow of Gold", Sonamarg is located at 9000 ft. against snow-clad mountains, with the Sindh River rich in trout and mahseer flowing. One can ride on horse (own cost) to visit Thajiwas Glacier, a major attraction especially during the summers, where snow remains round the year and Sonamarg is known as Gateway of Ladakh. Proceed to Gulmarg. The drive past colorful villages and rice fields, gives you an insight of the rich cultural past of Kashmir. We arrive at a small picturesue market town of Tangmarg and drive ahead on a scenic drive of 14 kilometers to Gulmarg. Check-in hotel after visit to world highest Golf Course and Gulmarg is also famous for winter sports skiing. One can take the Gondola Ride (optional tour) up to Alapather via Khilanmarg.
